Our Story

City Gas Appliances started with a phone call that changed everything.

In 2010, one of our founders, Benny, got a desperate call from his elderly neighbour. A certain "British Gas" company had  just quoted her £4,500 for a "condemned" boiler that needed immediate replacement. She was terrified – winter was coming, and her pension couldn't cover it.

Benny went round to take a look. The fault? A £40 valve that took 20 minutes to replace.

That moment crystallized what we'd all been seeing for years: an industry that had lost its way. Good, honest people being taken advantage of when they were most vulnerable. Families freezing for days waiting for engineers who never showed. Unnecessary replacements pushed on customers who just needed simple repairs.

Our core belief hasn't changed: treat every customer like family and respect customers homes.
